Individual textures and effortless luxury defined the hair look for Acler at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, as hair director Diane Gorgievski and Redken worked with Acler co-founders Kathryn Forth and Julia Ritorto to create looks with a dry, youthful feel.
“We incorporated some standout ponytails that combined both shine and a soft aerated finish so that they flowed with movement on the new Resort ’24 collection. We also featured Acler’s bespoke gold hardware in the hair,” Diane said. Redken’s Dry Texture and Brushable Hairspray products were hero tools in creating the hair’s pivotal texture.
The collection was showcased off site located within the old locomotive workshops in Sydney’s South Eveleigh, offering an enchanting venue that housed the fusion of elegance, sophistication and modernity of the collection ideally. The venue’s sleek architecture, including an opulent balcony and staircase, vintage chandeliers and touches of marble and brass throughout, created the perfect setting for the collection debut.
The collection was built to strengthen the fashion house’s unique design signature, adding to their renowned, distinctive and celebrated couture-inspired techniques, while also introducing their own Bridal chapter. The collection utilised hand-touched, tactile draping expertise, as well as experimenting with sculptural volume, fluid shapes and reimagined suiting. The vibrant hues of the collection spanned from Arctic Mint to Gold, Electric and Metallic Pink, as well as a grounded palette of Celeste Blue, Coconut, Ivory, Savannah, and Quince.
