The 2024 L’Oréal Style & Colour Trophy award entries are open! You can enter to be the ANZ champion and maybe even the global winner, by creating a look in this year’s theme of Utopia.
To enter the competition, simply upload three images to the online website – the front of the look before and after, and a shot of the side or back after. Upload your look by July 14 with a description that details the techniques and products used, the inspiration behind the look and the objective of the look.
Additionally, share the look to social media with the relevant hashtags – #SCTrophy, #SCTrophy24 and #SCTrophyANZ – and by tagging the brand at @lorealpro_education_aus and @lorealpro_education_nzl. Industry leaders Damien Rinaldo and Adriana Marmino have created an inspiration look to ignite your creative ideas.
The national winner will be announced on August 19 at Melbourne’s CIEL The Venue, with canapes and drinks, as well as an after party to celebrate this momentous occasion. The winner announcement will be accompanied by creative hair shows through the evening. You can get tickets to the event here.
Entries are open throughout Australia and New Zealand to champion these creative pursuits. Australia’s past national winners, including Wendy Gunn, Massimo Tirimacco and Claudia Cataldo, have taken home the global award, while last year’s ANZ winner, Rebecca Brent of Willis York Salon in New Zealand, took home bronze in the international field.
L’Oréal Style & Colour Trophy is a monumental international platform, which last year garnered 100,000 entries globally amidst around 40 participating countries. National judges consist of Rebecca Brent of Willis York, Danni Solier and Jamie Furlan of LNDN, Jo Cotroneo of Zink the Element of Hair, Brad Lepper of Blunt Edition and marie claire Beauty Editor Sally Hunwick.
“I am so proud to elevate the professional industry and disrupt hair beauty through our legendary contest! Last year more than 100,000 candidacies got submitted, meaning five times more than in 2022. Each year more and more join the competition to design limitless hair looks meeting the growing need of self-expression of the Gen Z,” said Anne Machet, International General Manager for L’Oréal Professionnel.
