American Crew has unveiled an all-new e-learning platform inspired by American college aesthetics, titled CAMPUS. Available via the Revlon Professional Always On e-learning site, CAMPUS ushers in a new grooming era with professional education and styling expertise in a curated library of products and education that helps Australian barbers stay ahead of the international curve. The first collection in this content is titled Yearbook.
Feature looks in this college aesthetic include the new pompadour, long crop and short wolf cut, which have been worn by celebrities such as Finneas Eilish on the Grammys red carpet and Barry Keoghan at London Fashion Week.
The platform shares the products and steps behind the look book in six education categories. Australia’s own American Crew All-Star, Lino D’Addario, was part of the styling team that created the new lookbook and educational videos on the US shoot, and these looks inspire the education departments.
“Being part of the Yearbook – Campus Campaign styling team was an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to travel to Barcelona, a city renowned for its artistic scene, and collaborate with some of the biggest names in the barbering industry,” Lino shared. “Working alongside Phoenix Thomson, the American Crew Global Director of Education, and David Raccuglia, the visionary Founder of American Crew, was both an honour and an inspiration. Our American Crew All Star team for the Yearbook shoot in Barcelona was Samy Petot and Guillaume Fort, both from France, as well as myself.
“We have an exceptional Global Education Team so having the opportunity to be there representing our brand and our team, was such an honour. The energy and expertise the whole creative team brought to the table elevated the entire project and made it a really fun experience.”
The categories start with The Department of Sculpture, where students learn to define their signature look and build their style with the key products of American Crew Matte Clay, Fiber and Forming Cream. The Department of Physics masters volume and texture for multi-dimensional styles, with the brand’s Boost Powder, Matte Clay Spray, Alternator Spray and Light Hold Texture Lotion as hero products, while the Department of Optics goes sleek and high-shine with the American Crew Heavy Hold Pomade and Firm Hold Styling Gel.
The Department of Wellness highlights aromachology-inspired fragrances that care for the hair, skin and mind and elevate styling, with the 3-in-1 available in Classic, Tea Tree, Ginger + Tea and Chamomile + Pine scents. The Department of Trichology offers scientific approach to healthy hair and care, with products such as the American Crew Daily Deep Moisturizing Shampoo, Daily Moisturizing Conditioner, Daily Cleansing Shampoo, Detox Shampoo and Anti-Dandruff + Dry Scalp Shampoo targeting specific concerns and treating problems such as irritation. Lastly, the Department of Shaving Arts traverses facial hair and skincare, with the American Crew Precision Shave Gel, post-shave Beard Serum, and Beard Balm as specialist tools.
“The Yearbook Campaign’s Campus theme was a unique creative challenge. I enjoyed playing with college aesthetics and of course our American Crew products in bringing this to contemporary fashion in a way that resonates with today’s youth. The process was an amazing exploration into our craft and so rewarding as we experimented with new styles and watched Yearbook come to life,” Lino shared.
Prioritising professional style, care and aesthetic at every level, as led by global trends, learn with CAMPUS.
