The 2025 Golden Globes took over Hollywood and your Instagram feeds last week and five hair trends have made headlines and set the first trends of the year.
We took a look at the red carpet and the biggest styles to decipher these A-list trends, for elegant events, wearable everyday looks and beyond. Let’s dive in!
Pixie Cuts
Short hair crops featured on the red carpet, with Quinta Brunson wowing in her short style and finger waves and Emma Stone with one of the most talked about looks of the night, as she debuted her fresh pixie cut.
Justice for millennials! After Gen Z took back the middle part, it seems side parts are back, thanks to stars such as Selena Gomez and Anya Taylor Joy, who both rocked some asymmetrical beauty.
Retro style went back way past the noughties, as Margaret Qualley and our own Nicole Kidman represented 60s style with bold, gravity-defying beehives. Even Miley Cyrus’ modern up-do was something of a modern take on the style.
It wouldn’t be a celebrity event without mention of today’s movie and star of the moment – Wicked and Ariana Grande, and Ariana is single-handedly bringing back the micro-fringe, which she wore alongside the necessary Glinda pink. Miley’s punk-style, layered look also put the fringe in focus.
Alongside her side part – pun intended – Anya’s sleek look joined stars such as Zoe Saldana and Alexandra Daddario in bringing back this classic elegance.
