We spoke to skincare specialist and expert entrepreneur Maria Cocciolone, founder of INSKIN COSMEDICS, about winter hero skincare products, business know-how, makeup and skincare merged in beauty and more. Read on for her skincare secrets.
What is your winter hero product?
Anything that is oil based, especially in the winter months where the skin becomes drier. Oils replenish depleted levels – giving the skin a dewy, healthy glow.
In winter I always cleanse with the Nourishing Cleansing Balm for skin comfort. I change my Vitamin C in the morning to the Vitamin C Hemp Seed Oil and my Vitamin A at night to the Retinoic Oil. For extra comfort I finish with the Youth Activating Balm. My skin gets loads of compliments throughout winter because it always looks radiant!
What is your top winter skin tip?
Oils from the inside out! Topical use of oil-based products keeps the skin looking amazing, but by simply adding the O COSMEDICS EFAs to your daily routine results are taken to the next level.

What are the biggest concerns in skincare you’re seeing right now?
The quest for glass skin is one, simply because glass is flawless, transparent, and fragile, all the things skin is not intended to be. The other is teens and tweens using high active products their skin doesn’t need nor like. Sadly, this movement is causing all sorts of unnecessary skin problems.
What’s your biggest business advice?
Growing my business my motto has always been ‘it’s got to make good skin and good business sense’, the two go hand in hand.
The other is investing culture and people, create your vibe and then find your tribe; never lose sight that your people are the only way you can dream big!

The perfect skin regime can be compromised and disrupted when you apply chemical based primers and foundations. As a therapist, I often see healthy skin take a back step when chemical-based makeup is used.
