IXIAH burst out onto the runway on the second day of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week with flowing layers, floral prints and a colour palette of pastels, producing a crop of dresses and jumpsuits you need in your closet immediately.
The beauty of the show was ideally complemented and juxtaposed by De Lorenzo and Brad Ngata, creating the girl who is “too cool to do her hair” as this season’s IXIAH woman.
“Today is a cool girl kind of hairstyle, so we’re working with imperfections and we want it to be slightly undone and just working with the girls’ natural textures,” Brad said.
“I met with IXIAH Director Krystel Davis and the clothes are so pretty and beautiful, they’re absolutely gorgeous, so we decided we wanted to make the hair a little bit tougher, so give it more of a street, cool girl vibe and go for more of a textured look.”
An important group of De Lorenzo products combined to create the look. De Lorenzo Elements Densify was sprayed into the roots of the hair for extra texture, while the brand’s Defence range Extinguish product was layered underneath that for essential thermal protection within the show’s heavy thermal work.
Quicksand, a mattifying texture powder, and hero product Sandstorm, a mattifying texture spray, were also layered for the finished look.
Cools girls in beautiful dresses is forever trending, as far as we’re concerned.
