On the first morning of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, fashion house ALÉMAIS presented KABOOM, the brand’s Resort ’24 collection, designed as a celebration of dreams and moving from dark to light, with hair industry pioneers Evo behind the scenes as styling partners.
Hair director Paloma Garcia created a modern, Bowie-inspired look, created over months of work to ideally suit the fashion aesthetic. The fashion show featured 69 looks that explored themes of the space between our reality and our future, a return to our true selves and the interconnectedness of all life. The show and brand represent all Australian women and are anchored by concepts of innovation, diversity and sustainability.
“Working with the beautiful evo Haircare & [Kaleo] styling range enabled me to create these dynamic, Bowie-inspired, yet modern and contemporary looks for the ALÉMAIS’ opening show,” Paloma said. “We had two main looks for the show, however we created individual personalisation for each model, playing to their natural hair texture and look.”
The Evo range of styling products were instrumental in achieving the contemporary looks, with newly-launched electrical tools range Kaleo also proving pivotal in styling each model’s individual aesthetic and supporting natural texture, debuting with this runway show. Evo’s Root Canal Volumising Spray, Macgyver Multi-Use Mousse and Helmut were hero tools.
