Fashion house Ikuntji worked with Redken and Richard Kavanagh to create a luxurious high-fashion glamour moment on the runway with two key hair looks.
“We drew inspiration from the environment, the garments and the models’ natural texture,” Richard shared.
The hair look was a slick style with a centre part and natural texture in a ponytail, as created by hero product Max Hold Hairspray, as set with a blow dry and then a curling tool. Hair was then brushed out and finished with a touch of Redken One United All-In-One Multi Benefit Treatment.
Ikuntji is a community-led initiative centred on the incredible talents and cultural heritage of the Haasts Bluff community in the Western Desert, which shows these themes in the designs and production. The show is a collaborative effort between the artists at IKUNTJII Artists and the wider fashion industry as a celebration of their culture and traditions brought to life through the medium of fashion.
Redken were backstage as the official hair sponsors of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week all week, styling a myriad of shows and directing hair trends as led by leading hair artists Richard Kavanagh, Diane Giorgievski, Kristy Hodgson and Justin Pace. The brand also partnered with actor and Australian Fashion Week Ambassador Josh Heuston, as another way to continue to lead style.
