Third Form debuted its first solo Australian Fashion Week show on the third day of the fashion festival, with Davroe on hand as the leading hair sponsor to complement the ‘re-FORM’ Resort 25 collection. Hair director Madison Voloshin led the team backstage in celebrating texture and diversity for this luxury fashion line.
“We designed this collection with the Third Form woman in mind every step of the way. I recently became a mother and it’s taught me to cherish the design process and enjoy every stage, much like the precious moments with my daughter,” shared Merryn Kelly, Founder and Director of Third Form. “Each garment in our Resort 25 collection is multifaceted, showcasing a symphony of colours, textures, and nuanced detailing. Our aim was to create pieces that transcend trends as an ode to the timeless allure of individual expression.”
The collection evokes the brand’s evolution into the premium contemporary market, with diversity and sustainability as key values anchoring this transitional phase. The collection is comprised of collection contrasted raw edges, suiting staples with daring cut outs, floral jacquards and sequins in an ode to modern femininity.
Third Form additionally reimagined their renowned crushed satin range into new, wearable silhouettes for summer. This collection is known for its creation process, with full traceability from tree to fibre, as made using Eastman Naia™ cellulosic fibres that are certified biodegradable and compostable.
The hair looks added to this sense of considered luxury, with Davroe products such as Body Volume Texture (BVT), Thermaprotect, Fabricate Texture Spray, Murray River Salt Spray, CURLiCUE Curl Activator, CURLiCUE Curl Balm, and Complete Aerosol Hairspray acting as hero tools across hair textures, for a cohesive yet individualised aesthetic. Shark Beauty provided styling tools to create the looks.
“For today’s look for Third Form we went with a textured blow dry for the girls with straighter hair, adding BVT for volume at the roots as a foam, then used Thermaprotect for protection, texture and hold, finishing with the new, amazing Fabricate Texture Spray to add texture and volume keep the hair looking nice and dry,” Madison said. “For the girls with curly hair, we brushed out the curls while keeping the hair hydrated with the CURLiCUE range and we also used Fabricate for dryness and volume, which was our hero product.”
“Third Form is a strong, feminine brand, so we wanted to do something cool yet still feminine. We wanted the girls to look soft but still empowered, so we gave them nice blow dries, which we pushed behind so when they walk the hair will drop effortlessly and nothing will be too structured, because the clothes are structured themselves.”
