Carla Zampatti took to the first day of Australian Fashion Week, as a stalwart brand returning to the forum under new creative direction after the tragic passing of the renowned designer in 2021.
Showcasing luxury, contemporary fashion styles for the diverse, everyday Australian woman, hair direction by Diane Gorgievski for Redken highlighted “elevated Italian glamour” to suit the brand by accentuating models’ features and individuality in the hair styling. This exaggerated, confined shape created uniformity and sophistication, as the ideal pair for this luxe label.
“This hair was all about a sleek, feminine silhouette,” Di shared. “All the hair was tucked into the garments. I peeled back all the hairlines to emphasise the face shapes with Redken Fashion Work 12 Brushable Hairspray to set in the shape and Thermal Spray 22 as another hero tool.”
The collection spanned elegant coats, crisp tailoring in jackets, pencil skirts and trousers, sheer gowns and blouses, intricate buttons touches and asymmetrical details, suiting consumers heading to both the office and a gala event, at their most stylish. Ushering in a new phase for the fashion label, the colour palette journey progressed from all black, through to wheat, white, gold and then brighter hues in blues and greens.
