Aveda has shared their latest style and colour trends by way of Details, their Autumn/Winter 2024 trend collection. Created by a team of global Aveda artists, the collection shows off those titular details such as internal layers, dimensions, undertones, personal touches and other artistic craftsmanship.
“Details is a celebration of the subtleties of its living canvases and the technical intricacies each artist contributed to create the final masterpiece. It represents the symbiotic relationship among cut, colour and style and the importance of meticulous attention to every guest experience,” the brand shared.
Technology such as Aveda Full Spectrum™ customisable colour alongside care tools such as the Botanical Repair™ Professional Hair Strengthening Additive, Botanical Repair™ Strengthening Shampoo and Strengthening Conditioner and the Color Control Leave-In Treatment were pivotal in creating the collection. In style, the Botanical Repair™ Bond-Building Styling Crème, new Be Curly Advanced™ Curl Enhancer Cream and Curl Perfecting Primer, Pure Abundance™ Style-Prep™, Invati Ultra Advanced™ Thickening Foam and Air Control™ Light Hold Hair Spray were hero products.
The collection was tailored to consumer trends, paving the way in what’s wanted now in cut, colour and style. In colour, the rich cherry tones of Lacquered Crimson, enigmatic balance of purple and blue in Luminous Indigo and bright, edgy and electric Cosmic Cyan were all feature trends. The subtle, earthy Sandstone Pink, combination of beige, flattened honey, vanilla and taupe in Gilded Blonde, the sweet, warm mix of rosy pink and light orange in Coral Blush and versatile, neutral browns of Misty Mocha were also favourite hues.
In style, the brand showcased the always universal Voluminous Waves, which are suitable for all face shapes and hair textures, as well as Natural, Airy Curls, which allow women with curly and coily hair to embrace their natural texture with defined movement. Bobs with Volume were also showcased as a fresh twist on a timeless cut, while 90s Supermodel Hair, with a nostalgic, bouncy blow-dry, was also favoured.
Versatility across the board was paramount, and heightened thanks to the adaptive Bixie cut, a blend of the bowl and pixie cut that was also popular in the 90s and can be styled sleek, textured and with volume, as well as the Easy Hair cut trend. This features long layers and a soft fringe for fullness and easy styling options. The Razor Bob cut reinvents the classic bob with texture and softness in a modern approach, while the Butterfly Cut was another trend, offering of shorter, face-framing layers and longer under layers that has now evolved and refined for softness and versatility.
