Hair extensions pioneer Emilly Hadrill has expanded (or extended) her empire, opening up a dedicated salon in Sydney, in the chic Eastern Suburbs area of Paddington. She will apply her expertise and knowledge of the hair extensions industry to the success of the business, treating clients to specific services and products that set Emilly Hadrill Hair & Extensions apart.
“Our salons do all hairdressing work to a really high standard, and our specialty is hair extensions,” Emilly explained. “The hair extensions that we do suit such a broad range of people- those that want to add length, those that just want to add some thickness to a long hair style or a short hair style, those that want to add colour without dying their own hair and the list goes on! We are able to help all women in some way and we know that Sydney women show care in their appearance so our salon is the perfect one stop for all things relating to beautiful hair.”
“Sydney has been on our radar for quite a few years now, mostly because we have quite a few clients that visit our Gold Coast and Melbourne salon from Sydney and are always asking when we will be opening there,” she continued. “It’s a big city with lots of opportunities so we were always excited to expand into Sydney, it just took us awhile to find the perfect position!”
Emily started the business in 2007 as a niche and specialised answer to salon clients’ hair extension woes. She focused on educating herself to the pinnacle of hair extension understanding, and then expanded her business to salons in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and now Sydney.
The salons offer four different application processes – weft, microbead, tape and invisible tape methods, and also give options of both Russian and Indian hair types. The salons have a strong focus on customer services as well as passing their extension expertise forward and educating clients on crucial maintenance and aftercare to ensure each look’s longevity.
“Our extremely popular signature service is our invisible tape extensions,” Emilly explained. “We were one of the first (if not, the first) salon to introduce these to Australian clients and they’re incredible. We take them one step further by offering a tailored colour service for our salon guests so their extensions are perfectly blended with their own hair, making them seamless and completely natural looking.”
The space itself is elegant and welcoming, speaking to the vibe of the Emilly Hadrill Hair & Extensions brand as a whole. A crisp black and white colour palette with metallic finishes, private and separate areas and high-quality interior pieces and design exude the feeling of luxury.
“The property that we took over is a beautiful old terrace home so we have maintained that feel and modernised it to feel luxurious and comfortable,” Emily said. “We have been able to have a bit of fun with the space due to the upstairs and downstairs areas being quite separated. We’ve been able to create rooms with their own unique look such as our pink room featuring gorgeous chandeliers, a wall of florals and beautiful white stained oak floor boards.”
A focus on quality, knowledge, education, chic design and top-tier customer service stands the salon and the franchise in good stead as the empire continues to build. With Sydney now ticked off the list, we’re intrigued to find out how far the extension goes.
“We have already had an overwhelming response to our new Paddington salon so we are buzzing with the fun of transforming so many women’s hair into the style they’ve always wanted,” Emilly said. “We look forward to continuing to grow our salons in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales!”
