2024 was the year of the pop star renaissance and it’s no surprise that 2025’s hair trends will follow suit, according to the experts from Salon HER, with inspiration from some of the world’s most famous starlets leading the way.
“Bangs are back, and Sabrina Carpenter’s wispy fringe is leading the charge for 2025,” said Salon HER stylist Britt Fordham.
This trending look is centred on chic, low-maintenance face-framing, where soft pieces and fringe elements blend seamlessly with longer layers to flatter a variety of face shapes, as styled with sleek hair or loose waves. These layers are essential to the 2025 style guide, for this trend and in general.
“Movement and volume steal the spotlight in this trend, with bold, versatile layers creating soft texture and natural dimension. Inspired by Maya Hawke’s effortless look, this approach offers a relaxed yet dynamic feel that resonates with clients seeking easy, wearable style,” shared expert Clodagh Hegan.
Within these complementary aesthetics, a Gigi Hadid-inspired long bob and natural texture loom as 2025’s essential looks, according to Nasser Halbouni and Tracey Rose, respectively.
“This long bob exudes sophistication while keeping everyday styling effortless. A soft, blunt baseline enhanced with internal layers creates movement and versatility,” Nasser said, adding that the easy look can be left air dried at home, or styled in loose barrel curls, which ideally complements the trend of natural texture.
“Natural texture is having its well-deserved moment in 2025, putting individuality at the forefront with curls and waves that are bold, effortless, and unapologetic. I’m all about embracing the beauty of your natural hair, using dry-cutting techniques to sculpt and enhance texture. Think Olivia Dean’s soft, elegant waves or Tyla’s effortlessly cool, carefree curls—this trend is all about celebrating what makes your hair uniquely yours,” added Tracy.
Know what your clients will be looking for when they sit in the chair come 2025, and be ready with natural, layered, po-star inspired looks.
