Last Tuesday, ghd hosted an intimate luncheon at Ikaria Bondi to celebrate its 18-year advocacy for breast cancer philanthropy and awareness, unveiling the new limited edition ghd Pink collection in the process. The restaurant was bustling with media, influencers and friends of the brand with pink floral arrangements and the highly anticipated 2022 ghd Pink collection displayed throughout the room.
Supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation Australia (NBCF), the event was hosted by Erin Holland. Key guests had the opportunity to see the new collection firsthand while feasting over the Mediterranean meze-style at Ikaria Bondi. Guests were also pampered at the pop up ghd Style Bar showcasing the new collection and were gifted personal line art portraits.
Throughout the event, guests enjoyed panel talks with Karen Cox, Head of Marketing of ghd for AU, and Cleola Anderiesz, CEO of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, cementing the importance of the self-check and self-respect.

ghd presented a $134,838 cheque donation from last year’s TAKE CONTROL NOW campaign and was announced as a Diamond Partner of the NBCF. Additional guest speakers included Sara Monaghan, NBCF Community ambassador and breast cancer survivor, who embodied strength and bravery through her breast cancer story.
More than 20,000 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. ghd’s mission is to empower women to check their breasts. Regular breast checks save lives and the luncheon was an inspiring display of activism with guests leaving with an empowering and heartfelt message to share with their loved ones, friends, and followers to “take control now” and self-check.
Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most common cancer among females. Around 1000 of those diagnosed are women aged under 40, which is why ghd continues to support such an important cause close to the brands hearts.
ghd has raised over $30 million AUD over 18 years supporting breast cancer charities all over the world. This year, ghd will continue its support by donating $20 from every limited-edition Pink purchase to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia.
