Hairloom salon is celebrating 45 years of their success as a Perth salon, after debuting in 1979 thanks to husband and wife team Connie and Tony Faranda in Osborne Park before growing to three locations overall. The family run business is predicated on this long legacy and lasting tradition captured in the salon name, where some clients have stayed with the salon for decades.
As of 2025, Hairloom has entered the new ownership of Ebbeny and Omar Varinda and transformed into Hairloom Collective, pointing to the modern future of the brand. Ebbeny is Connie and Tony’s daughter, carrying on the family legacy of the salon, while bringing her own media and communications expertise, as a former Channel 9 reporter, to this new phase. Omar brings his own experience in business management and finance to the future of the business. Connie and Tony’s daughter Candice also leads the way as a Senior Stylist and has represented Australia at WorldSkills in Japan and undertaken a scholarship in London.

The new phase acts as a rebrand for Hairloom, while also activating their online offering.
“We are so proud to celebrate 45 years of Hairloom” Ebbeny shared. “This salon has been part of our family and the Osborne Park community for decades. Now, as Hairloom Collective, we’re continuing that tradition while embracing new innovations and a modern, client-focused experience.”
The salon also has a refreshed look, building on the salon’s output of an experienced team, commitment to quality and creativity and long-term service to the community.

“What’s notable with Hairloom is seeing it evolve over the generations and keep up with the times, we’re seeing a lot of small businesses struggle with trainees and apprenticeships. To see businesses like this thriving with so many young staff, and creating opportunities to ensure that the trade continues for generations to come, I think is really important,” said Stirling Mayor, Mark Irwin.
Congratulations to Hairloom Collective on 45 years and the new era to come.
