Live competitions will be back to close out Hair Festival on Monday June 12 and you can throw your hat (or your team’s collective hat) into the ring to pick up a myriad of prizes with entries still open! Taking place at Hair Festival over June 11 and 12 at Carriageworks, Sydney, the competitions are one of many dynamic opportunities across the weekend dedicated to the very best of the hair industry.
Last year, the live competitions at Hair Festival kicked off with aplomb, as attendees and entrants could witness and experience this classic competition style in four categories. Entrants could be tasked on creating inspiring high-fashion women’s style with the Editorial Glam Slam category, aspirational men’s looks with Barber Street 2023, as sponsored by Smartpay, bold pre-done colour work in A Splash of Colour, and relay style team creations with Dream Team Collab. This year those categories will be joined by the Women’s Street Style category to cut, style and shape everyday looks, and a focus on short hair with The Bob.
You can enter these categories to try your hand at live hair creations before models are paraded on stage for the audience. Winners and medallists will be decided, and winners will win from prize packs that include the official Hair Festival trophies, editorial coverage in INSTYLE and products and tools from brands such as Sharpline Scissors and Natural Look.
