Quiet luxury was the aesthetic theme of the day when O&M styled an AJE STUDIO fashion show hosted at Lavender Bay as the fashion house’s exclusive hair partner. The three hair looks were created thanks to hair director Grace Kelly of SHAGHAIR, and were decidedly chic, laid-back and undone to complement the fashion’s signature and renowned relaxed elegance. The high-fashion day marked the introduction of AJE STUDIO.
“The hair looks we achieved embraced a very lived-in feel, with strong middle parts, soft waves and enhanced natural texture. Like the collection, the hair is very undone and chic. It’s refined, and effortless,” Grace shared. “We worked on three key looks today, a slick back low bun, enhanced curly hair, and a sleek bedhead wave. My hero products are the Atonic Thickening Spritz, W-Spray Dry Wax Spray, and the Original Queenie Firm Hold Hairspray.”
“I used the same method for each of the hair looks, to create a uniform yet effortless feel. I focused on the Atonic to dry in the hair, then W-Spray to finish off to give hold and shine rather than a texture spray which can mattify the hair. W-Spray is my go-to product.”
Aje was founded in 2008 by Adrian Norris and Edwina Forest and has made its mark as an iconic national fashion brand. AJE STUDIO launched in September to introduce a new range to the Aje portfolio. This addition grew from the shapes, designs and cutting fabric that the founders created in the Aje Atelier, adding a modern, beachy and cool twist and point of view to the aesthetic. This collection was defined as coastal, cool and elevated everyday, offering staples that consumers can mix, match, switch and flip.
“The collection is super chic, it’s an everyday look but elevated, which is why the hair is natural and stunning. It matches the collection, it can take you from day to night. The hair is quiet luxury complementing the clothes completely,” says Grace.

How to Create a Slick-Back Bun:
- Start by generously applying Atonic Thickening Spritz at the roots, hairline, and anywhere the bun will be slicked back.
- Blow-dry the hair to lock in the product, then apply more Atonic to re-wet the hair, brushing the product through for even distribution.
- Once dry, pull the hair into a sleek bun.
- Apply O&M W-Spray Dry Wax Spray to smooth down flyaways and add definition.
- Finish by securing the style with Original Queenie Firm Hold Hairspray for lasting control.
How to Enhance Texture:
- Apply Atonic Thickening Spritz, using your hands to work it through the hair.
- Use a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer to minimize frizz and define texture.
- Lightly mist the hair with W-Spray Dry Wax Spray for added texture and a soft, natural hold.
How to Achieve Sleek, Bedhead Waves:
- Apply Atonic Thickening Spritz to the hair and blow-dry it in to build volume and texture.
- Use a curling tong to create soft bends and waves throughout the hair.
- Finish with a mist of W-Spray Dry Wax Spray to add hold, shine, and that effortless, undone look.
