After a record-setting number of entries were lodged in the endeavor to find the 2019 FAME Team members, a group of 14 talented finalists has been announced. An all-star judging panel poured over all-new exclusively digital submissions, making way for a live final in Sydney to decide the final team of four.

“I have just spent my first year as FAME Team Creative Director and I can honestly say it’s been one of my career highlights,” shared FAME Team creative director Jack Morton. “The four people who are going to be taking over from this year’s team better get ready for the ride of their lives! I can’t wait to see how the finalists deliver on Round II, it’s all to play for!”

The live final will see these emerging artists create a look on a live model and react to three previously unseen briefs. The four victorious hairdressers will win a spot on the FAME team for a year-long mentoring experiencer filled with plenty of travel, editorial, education and stage show opportunities. Winners will be announced at the Australian Hair Fashion Awards on Sunday 14^th April.

“I always take pleasure in judging the FAME Team – the bar is always set so high! There were some incredibly accomplished entries this year, so roll on Round II, I can’t wait to see what they bring,” said judge and industry legend Sharon Blain.

“Having been a member of the FAME Team, I know what these guys are going through when they wait to hear their name called out as a finalist. I just want to say, if you didn’t make it this year, don’t give up. Nothing good is ever easy… keep at it and your time will come,” added Mandy Kingsman, education ambassador for ELEVEN Australia.
