The second annual Come Together even took place on April 6 and 7, where 12 huge hair artists presented on stage to raise funds and awareness for Giant Steps, an Autism focused school in Putney, as hosted by CJ Morello, the majority owner and General Manager of the A.H Group. As centred on community, philanthropy and inspiration, the event inspired attendees at the Ovolo Hotel in Woolloomooloo and raised $50,000 for the cause.

“We were overwhelmed by the industry response to our second annual Come Together event,” CJ shared. “We had 200 hairdressers on day one and around 150 on day two to learn all facets of being a better stylist from Australia’s biggest names and biggest brands. Thanks to all the incredible artists, our selfless sponsors and everyone in the A.H Salon group we raised more than $50,000 for Giant Steps, an autism specific charity that regularly changes families’ lives.”

The event line-up hosted the incredible Natalie Anne, Renya Xydis, Karl Dawson and Remi Jeffers, Sharlene Lee and Jessica Del Borello, Jaye Edwards, Sharon Blain, Nicole Kae and Madison Voloshin, and Sarah Emilia across the two days, as compered by the inimitable Jules Tognini. Brands such as L’Oréal Group, Seamless1, KEVIN.MURPHY, Ozdare, Haircare Group, MUK, O&M and Wella supported the event.

“Some of my personal highlights from this year’s Come Together was the standing ovation the legendary Sharon Blain received from the Come Together audience, Nicole Kae and Madison Voloshin sharing the stage for the first time ever and completely spellbinding the audience, the L’Oréal Lounge and the Seamless1 Station, which were brilliant activations, and above all hearing the personal stories of some of the attendees about what drew them to being a part of the Come Together community. We’re so excited by the response that we’ve already started planning next year’s event,” CJ said.

The A.H Group boasts three salons across Rozelle, Newtown and Surry Hills, having recently taken over the former EdwardsAndCo Crown St for their Surry Hills location. With Come Together and A.H already making their mark on 2025, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year and beyond brings.
