If you’re looking for editorial looks that turn the heads of judging panels far and wide, Jude McEwen of TONJ&GUY Perth created the Binary collection, which has been recognised by a long list of award entities.
Nominated for the title of Australian Hairdresser of the Year at the Australian Hair Fashion Awards, the collection also won global acclaim as a finalist for the International Collection of the Year title at the recent British Hairdressing Awards, and also won the title of TONI&GUY Global Creative Image of the Year.
Set against a bold green backdrop, the collection plays with vivid orange and sleek black hues, unique shapes and interesting cuts in a range of lengths and textures. As per the name, it’s inspired by exploring both the masculine and feminine sides of editorial imagery. Clipper skills, wig work and graphic finishes are just some of Jude’s many talents brought to life through the collection.
Equally vibrant pops of beauty and fashion styling in brilliant blue and feature bold lips, alongside pristine suits and tailoring, exude the collection’s theme of duality and equally inspire in their details.
Photographed by Andrew O’Toole, with makeup by Kylie O’Toole and fashion styling by Emma Boseley, Binary is making an impact here and abroad.
