Global hairdressing pioneer Sally Brooks of Brooks and Brooks salon in the UK is used to inspiring with her editorial offerings, and her latest Muse collection is no different. Sally has won a myriad of international accolades, including the pinnacle British Hairdresser of the Year award multiple times, with her editorial prowess acknowledged as a world leader.
The Muse collection continues that legacy with a series dominated by hero short crops across men’s and women’s looks, with technical details as the hero component. The collection is shot against a red backdrop, with diverse models bringing the looks to life. A retro male short style with a micro fringe, mid-length look with patterned detailing and a dual-tone blonde and brunette style stand out as hero looks. Moreover, a spiky blonde short look, disconnected dark crop with cut out pieces and lined grey style, shot from the back, experiment with the very notion of hair texture and creatively repurpose hair as a canvas in bold ways.
“Combining aesthetics, design and beauty I wanted to create a collection that represents 2023. I wanted to bring out the natural beauty in my models as capturing a total image is what I love to do,” Sally said.
Showcasing her local London aesthetic in its approach fashion and the overall aesthetic, the collection was created with makeup artist Megumi Matsuno and photographer Jack Eames. Organic beauty meets unique hair techniques and high fashion editorial hair in Muse.
