A graffiti-style, edgy collection by Cristina Tatasciore of Flipped Hair was nominated as a finalist for Australian Hairdresser of the Year at the Australian Hair Industry Awards (Creative), being recognised for as a vivid, eye catching group of images.

“It’s a collection very close to my heart,” Cristina said. “It’s taking us back to the 90s, and I have incorporated a twist of today’s fashion, I have used pops of marbled colour to add contrast to the collection it’s all about having no fear. Apart from all this, the collection’s inspiration is all about how we come from struggle to a better life, but only you can make that change for yourself.”
Splashes of patterned colour in vivid, neon hues define the hair looks, with under cut details, long hair styling and versatile layering showing the depths of the hues. Fishnet stockings, knee high shoes and bold accessories with bold eye makeup, often encased in glitter or marked in red lines, add to the overall aesthetic, all against a futuristic backdrop. Photographer Andrew O’Toole, makeup artist Kylie O’Toole and stylist Emma Bosley helped to create this style.
