Wella Professionals will be back once again next year as the official hair partner for the Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney. Following up from their debut partnership this year, the brand will once again lend their support and colourful skills to the iconic parade.
“Coty’s mission is to celebrate and liberate the diversity of your beauty, and for over 130 years, Wella has been delivering innovations and services that enable hair stylists and their clients to feel the best version of themselves,” said Matthew Foster, Commercial Director, Coty Professional Beauty Australia and New Zealand. “Last year we made the decision to partner with Mardi Gras to demonstrate our support of equality, celebrating our wonderfully diverse, creative, colourful and passionate hair stylists in the Wella community. We are looking forward to once again celebrating every colour of the rainbow, each as wonderful, individual and diverse as the next!”
“We’re very excited to welcome back Wella Professionals as a Major Partner of Mardi Gras for 2019,” added Terese Casu, SGLMG CEO. “Wella have a rich history of inclusion and self-expression, which is what Mardi Gras is all about.”
This year, the partnership included a #LoveInColour message, a sparkly float and hair styling for some major icons at the parade. For next year, more undoubtedly colourful offerings of self-expression are already in the works. Stay tuned.
