In celebration, the brand is asking one important question: what’s your first memory with ghd? The brand is calling out to their elite salons to share these memories and their own ghd story, with a new social media competition where they could win for sharing these moments.
“As we celebrate 20 years of catwalk hairstyles, iconic designs, and life-changing technology, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the times ghd first fell into the hands of the professional, those very first moments of ghd,” a brand statement said. “We are so proud to work in an industry of trend-setters and game-changers, and we are confident that everyone has their own unique ghd story to tell.”
In the social media competition, entrants must post the memory to their Instagram feed, reels or IGTV with the tags @ghdhair_anz, #20yearsofghd and #myghdstory. Entries are open to all Australian and New Zealand ghd salons and stylists until May 7, and three winners will receive a gift pack that includes one of the brand’s renowned innovations – the ghd platinum+, ghd helios and ghd oracle.
Also in celebration, ghd has debuted their 20th anniversary couture collection, featuring award-winning hair straighteners and hair dryers in limited edition ombré chrome hues with signature 20th anniversary details. This luxury collection features professional cult favourites that honour the significance of 2021.
